Charlie Kyle - Summary of Experience

This site covers my experience and background and shows samples of my work.

1980 - 1995

I started my career in 1980 as a technical writer in Spokane, Washington at American Sign & Indicator (AS&I). AS&I was a leading developer of electronic displays for sports arenas and advertising venues in locations such as New York's Times Square and London’s Piccadilly Circus. Their four-side animating scoreboard is shown here.

As part of a large engineering department, I was responsible for software and hardware manuals for sign controllers, animating displays, scoreboards, and flight information display systems. I also provided customer support and training for relational database system installed at several major international airports.

After eleven years with AS&I, I became a contract technical writer and worked for EDS, Itronics, Pfizer, and several small software companies.
